Bowl of creamy skyr topped with warm pear cubes and a pinch of cinnamon

Ingredients

  • 200 g plain skyr
  • 1 ripe pear
  • 1 pinch cinnamon

Method

  1. Peel and dice the pear and soften with a little water for 6 minutes.
  2. Spoon the skyr into a bowl and top with the warm pear.
  3. Dust with a little cinnamon if you like.

Why this recipe is gentle

Skyr is especially high in protein while staying low in fat, and the steamed pear keeps things soft and low-acid. The snack skips spice and tart fruit, so it tastes pleasantly mild.

General information, not medical advice or a treatment claim. Reactions are individual. If heartburn or reflux is frequent, severe or persistent, see a doctor.

Tips

  • Steam the pear until fully soft and spoon it lukewarm over the skyr.
  • Use only a little cinnamon, or leave it out if spices feel bothersome to you.
  • Choose a portion size that suits your own tolerance, since triggers are individual.
