Ingredients

  • 1 small very ripe banana
  • 30 g fine rolled oats

  • 1 pinch vanilla

Method

  1. Soak the oats in the milk or oat drink for five minutes.
  2. Slice the banana and blend with all ingredients until smooth.
  3. Thin with water if needed so the drink is not too heavy.
  4. Drink slowly and divide into two small servings.

Why this recipe is gentle

Ripe banana and soaked oats are low-acid and free of the usual triggers, with no added spice or fat. Keeping the portion small helps the drink feel light.

General information, not medical advice or a treatment claim. Reactions are individual. If heartburn or reflux is frequent, severe or persistent, see a doctor.

Tips

  • Large drink volumes can worsen reflux for some people, so split this into two small servings.
  • Sip slowly rather than drinking it all at once.
  • Blend until fully smooth so the oats are soft and easy to digest.
