Ingredients

  • 60 g fine rolled oats
  • 300 ml oat drink or lactose-free milk
  • 120 g very ripe mango
  • 1 pinch vanilla
  • 1 tsp chia seeds

Method

  1. Cook the oats with the milk or oat drink for eight minutes until soft.
  2. Cool until lukewarm.
  3. Purée the mango very smoothly and fold in a modest amount.
  4. Stir in the chia seeds if desired and rest for ten minutes.

Why this recipe is gentle

This is a low-fat snack built on oats and oat drink, with no added sugar beyond the fruit itself and no spice. The mango is used sparingly and puréed smoothly, and the pudding is served lukewarm rather than cold.

General information, not medical advice or a treatment claim. Reactions are individual. If heartburn or reflux is frequent, severe or persistent, see a doctor.

Tips

  • Swap the mango for ripe banana if mango tends to be a personal trigger.
  • Stir in the chia only if it agrees with you, and let it swell fully first.
  • Let the pudding cool to lukewarm rather than eating it straight from the fridge.
