Two bowls of skyr topped with banana slices and rolled oats, dusted with a little cinnamon.

Ingredients

  • 300 g plain skyr
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 40 g rolled oats
  • 1 pinch cinnamon

Method

  1. Divide the skyr between two bowls.
  2. Slice the banana and place on top.
  3. Sprinkle with oats and a little cinnamon if you like.

Why this recipe is gentle

Skyr is naturally low in fat and rich in protein, so the bowl stays satisfying without feeling heavy. Ripe banana, oats and a pinch of cinnamon skip onion, garlic, tomato, citrus and spice heat, keeping everything nice and mild.

General information, not medical advice or a treatment claim. Reactions are individual. If heartburn or reflux is frequent, severe or persistent, see a doctor.

Tips

  • Choose a very ripe banana – it is milder and sweeter, so no added sugar is needed.
  • Keep the portion moderate; fat level, portion size and personal triggers influence individual tolerance.
  • If cinnamon does not sit well with you, simply leave it out – the base is creamy on its own.
