Creamy quinoa porridge with soft pear pieces in a light bowl.

Ingredients

  • 120 g quinoa
  • 400 ml oat drink or water
  • 1 ripe pear
  • 1 pinch cinnamon (optional)

Method

  1. Rinse the quinoa well and bring to a simmer with the oat drink or water.
  2. Cover and simmer gently for 12–15 minutes until the liquid is absorbed.
  3. Peel and dice the pear and cook it in for the last few minutes.
  4. Stir until creamy, round off with cinnamon if you like and serve warm.

Why this recipe is gentle

Quinoa is gently simmered soft in oat drink or water and stays low in fat. The soft pear and an optional pinch of cinnamon add flavour without citrus, onion or spice.
