Creamy chia oat pudding in a bowl topped with soft diced pear.

Ingredients

  • 35 g chia seeds
  • 40 g fine rolled oats
  • 280 ml oat drink or lactose-free milk
  • 1 ripe ripe pear, peeled
  • 1 pinch vanilla

Method

  1. Mix the chia seeds, oats and milk or oat drink thoroughly.
  2. Chill for at least two hours or overnight, stirring again after ten minutes.
  3. Peel and dice the pear, then cook gently with a little water for eight minutes.
  4. Bring the pudding closer to room temperature and serve with the warm pear.

Why this recipe is gentle

Pear is one of the lower-acid fruits and turns even softer with a few minutes of cooking, so there is no citrus or raw acidity here. Oats and chia add soluble fiber without added fat or spice.

General information, not medical advice or a treatment claim. Reactions are individual. If heartburn or reflux is frequent, severe or persistent, see a doctor.

Tips

  • Chia swells a lot, so eat slowly and keep the portion modest.
  • Peel the pear and cook it briefly rather than serving it raw.
  • Let the pudding come closer to room temperature instead of eating it fridge-cold.
